GILBERT
Gilbert, Gil for short, was in a not-so-great situation before he came to us. He had penile bleeding from an unknown cause and after taking him to the vet, we learned that he had a bacterial infection, pressure sores all over his body from living in a crate, and needed to put on a little bit of weight. After antibiotics and time to decompress in his foster home, Gil is healthy and ready for his own forever home.
He’s still learning that world isn’t so scary – and we can’t blame him after spending his life in a crate. With time and patience, we know Gilbert will be an amazing dog. He’s working on his house breaking skills and basic manners, but he’s doing well learning so far!Gilbert can be shy around new people, but warms up quickly to new friends with snacks! He’s looking for a chill household where he can continue to learn that the world is a fun place, full of friends & treats.
